Neutreeko is a simple game played on a board with 5 * 5 squares, although it is playable on any rectangular board with at least 3 squares in each direction. The rules are fairly similar to those of Dao, but the two games are very different in terms of, for instance, the amount of neutral positions, and the existence of positions with a forced win hidden many moves ahead. Neutreeko was originally based on Neutron and Teeko (hence the name).

For instance, if Black starts with C4-C3, White plays D5-D2 and wins:

Black can not stop the double threat B5-B2/B5-E2. One wrong move can often be fatal.
Roughly 3% of all possible positions are neutral, including the starting position. (In comparison, almost 4 out of 5 Dao positions are neutral.) More precisely, there are 104,660 neutral positions among the 3,468,080 legal positions where Black (say) is to play. (Positions where the next player has already won are excluded.)
In other positions, the forced win or loss can often be pretty elusive. The most extreme case is the following position:

It is Black's turn, and he can win, but not in less than 51* moves if White plays perfectly (* that is, 26 moves by Black and 25 by White). The 44 version allows for up to 33 moves. In Dao, the maximal length for perfectly played non-draws is only 11 moves.
Neutreeko seems to be a rather tactical game, but there are a few strategic points one may want to keep in mind. It is often an advantage to occupy at least one of the squares C1, A3, C3, E3 and C5, and a disadvantage to occupy corners. Perfect play often involves one player forcing the other into a corner at some point.
