게임은 처음 X자 모양으로 배치하고 시작한다. (위 사진들 참조)

각 말은 대각선까지 포함해서 어떤 방향으로도 움직일 수 있다. 하지만 조각을 건너뛸 수는 없고, 한번 이동할 때는 보드 외곽에 막히거나 다른 말에 막힐 때까지 이동해야한다. 이것이 유일한 규칙이다.

At least the first few times you play encourage cross board coaching. In other words if your opponent makes a mistake point it out. This will help you visualize strategies faster.

Encourage non-participant coaching in the beginning for the same reason stated above.

Do not worry about losing because you trapped your opponent’s piece into the corner. I have yet to see anyone lose this way. Generally you see this problem long before you ever box your opponent in.

Forming a square in the corners of the game board is extremely hard. Aim for forming your square in the middle along the right or left sides of the game board. I seem to have had the most luck in these areas.
